About Tami S Kammer LCPC, LMFT
I have been in private practice in Hailey, Idaho since 2002. In addition to earning a Master’s degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy from Chapman University, I hold Idaho licenses in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) and Clinical Professional Counseling (LCPC). Because professional excellence is my priority, I am on the board of directors of the Idaho Division of Occupational Licenses, Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists, I meet every other week with a consultation group, and consult bi-monthly with a phone-in group hosted by Michael Yapko, PhD.
I take a collaborative/integrative/educational approach to therapy. Systems, narrative, cognitive behavioral, DBT, mindfulness, hypnosis, and brain biology theories inform my approach. These are well established, researched, and respected therapies.
I use my education, professional training, and life experience to understand your unique perspectives and life challenges. I work hard to collaborate with you to find solutions that help you make the changes you want to make in your life.
I am a happily married mother of 2 adult sons. I am a mother-in-law, a grandmother, and an animal lover – mother to 7 horses and 2 dogs! I enjoy swimming, yoga, horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
